DEBORAH TURBEVILLE DIES AGED 81
‘The most interesting thing about my photographs is that they are a little bit of an enigma; they are hard to place’. Our favourite quote from all of the tributes now filling cyberspace in the wake of the sad news of iconic photographer Deborah Turbeville’s passing aged 81. It leaves us thinking- whilst poring through Tumblr for an image to illustrate this post, that she may well of appreciated this especially contemporary way to experience her work. No-it’s not a particularly well arranged archive- but still completely captivating. We don’t need to know the time and place of this black and white image-as it simply lends to it’s beautifully dreamy quality.
