A designer has done well if he reduces an front row to tears and has Tim Blanks compare him to Rei Kawakubo. And that’s what Craig Green succeeded in doing yesterday at his first ever solo show at London Collections: Men. Something like Buddhist monks, his models walked a “silent protest”, in the designer’s own words. Natalie thought they looked like “asylum patients who had quietly undone their restraints and were very calmly making a break for freedom.” One thing is for sure, as Tim Blanks hailed in his emphatic review on Style.com, “The Cult of Craig is about to explode.”
