Ummmm, what? Scuse our Francais but where the EFF are we to make our six-yearly PFW pitstop to buy stuff that we definitely can’t afford but REALLY REALLY need? Yes, in news announced this morning, mega concept-boutique Colette will be closing it’s doors in December after 20 years of trading. “As all good things must come to an end, after 20 wonderful years, Colette should be closing its doors on Dec. 20 of this year,” Sarah Andelman, the Creative Director, announced this AM. Sarah is the daughter of the store’s founder and namesake, Colette Roussaux. “Until our last day, nothing will change. Colette will continue to renew itself each week with exclusive collaborations and offerings, also available on our website colette.fr.” Word is that Saint Laurent will take over the space on Rue Saint Honoré. End of an era doesn’t even cover it.
