This is a bit like if you introduce two of friends and they get on really well and then they get married. Not that, we should emphasise, we introduced the Rodarte girls to Stuart Vevers of Coach, but we do effing love both designers. And, as of this morning, the trio have announced that they will be collab’ing on a special 39-piece collection (Coach x Rodarte) of dresses, jackets, sweaters, and, of course, bags – many embellished with Rodarte’s signature touches – from hand-embroidered sequins to feminine laser-cut details. And, in what sounds a bit like a Nancy Meyers movie, they bonded over late-night dinners in El Lay and a 1973 satchel that reminded Laura of her very first Coach bag. It’s a bi-coastal love affair!
The collaboration is expected to available online from April 12th and in store from April 14th
