The ongoing love affair between Matty Bovan and Coach started back in September 2016 when Matty debuted his designs at London Fashion Week as part of the Fashion East collective. His SS17 collection introduced us to his DIY world with one of the highlights being the customised Coach bags covered in bric-a-brac, colourful found objects. The classic American leather bags became the hottest accessories in the town, but they weren’t really available to get unless you were one of Matty’s muses. Now, exactly two years later, we’re finally getting a chance to shop into the fabulous world of Matty Bovan’s accessories.
Launching this Friday, September 14th exclusively at Matchesfashion.com, the collection of three bags – Riley Bovan, Riley Matty and Matty Bovan Duffle Eye, are all timeless Coach silhouettes covered in the brand’s signature print that got a shiny, new look. Encrusted with pearls and painted over in all the colours of the rainbow, these are the bags we need to be carrying over the coming weeks. Just as these become available to the world, Matty will be showing his SS19 show at 180 Strand. And a whole new bunch of Coach bags to dream about will definitely be there too.
