We know that Christopher Kane suffers from ophidiophobia – a deep-rooted fear of snakes – so the thinking behind his pre-fall 2014 collection must surely have been, “Let’s make her terrifying!” Lots of snake features, you see. While you might barely be able to spot the little bit of snakeskin mimicry on this dress, the puffed chest and cinched waist of that leather jacket almost give the effect of a cobra rearing up. We reckon the whole impression is beautifully scary.
