It’s hard to believe racing star Charles Leclerc has never fronted a fashion campaign until now. With his charmingly good looks and cheeky smile, the Formula One fixture is destined to be on billboards across the globe. Giorgio Armani is a man who likes to lead the pack, so it only makes sense that Leclerc’s first foray into fashion would be an Armani campaign. As the brand begins opening stores across Italy this week, Leclerc has become the face of Giorgio Armani Made to Measure.
Photographed by John Balsom before the world went into lockdown, the campaign was shot in Saint-Tropez, Côte d’Azur – one of Mr Armani’s favourite destinations. “Charles Leclerc is a very promising racing driver. He has achieved considerable success despite his young age, and this is an indication of his will and determination, as well as his obvious talent,” says Mr Armani. “He is fresh-faced and has an energetic physical presence that my Made to Measure collection enhances and matches well.” Originally launched back in 2006, Giorgio Armani’s Made to Measure service is available in stores across the globe, ready to give the Armani man the complete luxury experience once life returns to normality.
