CHANEL: THE RETURN-BEHIND THE SCENES
We at 10 have heard plenty about Chanel’s forthcoming Metiers d’Art show in Dallas . When I say ‘plenty’ what I really mean is nothing more than giggles, and office chair squirming (excitement) from the upper most rungs of the team about something ‘Ah-mazing’ roughly slated for the brand in December. Until now it’s been a fairly closely guarded secret, but heavens above- or should we say cyberspace (in our fibre optics below)- a few more tib bits have just flown into our inboxes. Not only will the Paris-Dallas collection be presented in Dallas Fair Park on the 10th, but an exclusive screening of The Return will be shown before hand- which has been imagined, written and directed by Karl Lagerfeld. Featuring Geraldine Chaplin in the role of Gabrielle Chanel alongside Rupert Everett, Anna Mouglalis and Lady Amanda Harlech, and following on from Once Upon a Time which debuted last May in Singapore, this latest outing retraces Gabrielle’s steps towards re-opening her house in 1954. Can’t bloody wait for our CC stamped buckets of popcorn come the big day!
