In the thick of the UK’s third national lockdown, Virginie Viard’s AW21 Chanel collection was a soothing balm for all those missing the dancefloor. Shot at the Castel nightclub in Paris, which once played host to the likes of Mick Jagger and Françoise Hardy, the Chanel troop went on the ultimate night out-out. Casting director Aurelie Duclos rounded up the ultimate party squad, including Rianne van Rompaey, Jill Kortleve and Malika Louback. They each carried the cool girl energy of a young Stella Tennant, who was a direct inspiration of the collection. “Some of these silhouettes make me think of Stella Tennant’s allure, the way she wore certain pieces, it was so Chanel,” said Viard.
Pictured here inside the latest issue of 10 Magazine, Cedric Buchet brings the collection into everyday life, photographing his daughter Lennon Sorrenti Buchet, alongside Zora Sicher, Lua Beaulieu and Joey Borthwick, who wear this season’s gentle tweeds, retro dungarees and disco pant suits.
