Taking place at Cipriani South Street in Manhattan, the Council of Fashion Designers of America held its annual awards ceremony last night, celebrating all things fashion stateside.
Natasha Lyonne hosted the event, joined by Anna Wintour and newly-appointed CFDA chairman Thom Browne, and a wealth of celebrity guests: including the Kardashian/Jenner crew, Gigi Hadid and Cher in a Chrome Hearts biker look.
Amongst the night’s winners were Bode, who took home American Menswear Designer of the Year, and Khaite, who was crowned American Womenswear Designer of the Year. Elena Velez won the Emerging Designer gong and Raul Lopez of Luar bagged Accessories Designer of the Year following the success of his Ana bag.
Other honourees included Kim Kardashian’s Skims, which was given the inaugural Innovation Award, as well as Lenny Kravitz who took the Fashion Icon Award, and the late Virgil Abloh, where a special posthumous awards was given in his honour.
