CELINE: RESORT 2014 COLLECTION
Agh- at last! The presentation feels like forever ago- but finally we’ve the pictures from Phoebe Philo’s resort collection. A relaxed silhouette overall becomes oversized in outerwear, and is given a twist with the firm cinching of super long D-ring belts. There’s an air of practicality to proceedings with sandals that resemble the kind designed to actually do your feet some good, and one white dress in particular that’s almost matronly. But then the whole things afforded some romance via the luxury of super soft suedes and voluminous fur, as well as transparencies which reveal a shot of color in cami dresses beneath. This is- as expected, rather clever stuff. In fact, the whole things somehow sexy. Perhaps it’s the selection of shades approaching nude, or maybe the sense of reality in the casting of Philo’s bare faced bed headed beauties. We love it all. Of course we bloody do.
