Carven Label Names New Creative Directors

This morning French label Carven named Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud as its new creative directors. Together Martial (formerly creative director at Iceberg) and Caillaudaud (formerly at Givenchy where he worked on the footwear and accessories lines) form something like a coalition. Like a fashion industry equivalent to the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition. Though obviously Martial and Caillaudaud are more talented than Cameron and Clegg. And more attractive. I digress. “We are thrilled to be joining this highly creative Parisian design house,” said the dynamic design duo. “Carven is a brand that conveys a beautiful sense of femininity and freshness that we look forward to continuing into the next era.” Fresh blood usually equates to fresh ideas and it’s these fresh ideas that we’re looking forward to seeing at the pair’s inaugural collection for the house.
