As in the work of his predecessor Picasso, seeds of an African influence were surely sewn in the work of the neo-cubist artist Giuseppe Capogrossi. Can’t help but imagine how the vast fields of pattern that dominate this retrospective might work in a batik buba and sokoto ensemble. Must check out the gift shop just in case.
