CALVIN KLEIN: THE SHOW

If Calvin Klein were a Sade song it would most definitely be Smooth Operator. It is both minimal and smooth and would work well with a gold hoop and scraped back hair. Set against a Kenyan sunrise. Or standing on a wooden porch with a giraffe in the distance. Grazing on a leafy tree. Our heroine would be partial to giraffes. More partial to a giraffe than say a lion. Giraffes you see are elegant and gentle creatures. Noble. She would feel that they were a reflection of the elegance and gentle spirit that emanated from deep within her. She would keep two of her very own which she would ride when the sunset. Dressed in something minimal and white. Sheer. In chiffon. She would like the way it billowed behind her in the breeze. On her head would be a turban made from a silk scarf printed with giraffes. It’s the sleeveless jackets with the low slung belts that speak to us of an African plain. Though they may say Jestons to you and conjure up images of a space age future complete with cocktail stick shaped architecture that lives in the sky reflected through the prism of the sixties and a mirror shift, to us they say one thing, an elegant woman of independent means who has travelled the world. From the plains of Africa to the Hollywood Hills she has lived her young life to the full and chosen to settle down in the Kenyan safari complete with spacious ranch house. Choosing to live her life as Meryl Streep lived hers in Out of Africa. She would sit on her porch sipping a mint julep and dressed in something green and chiffon, she liked to match her outfits to her dress, while going over the final details of what was to be a dream come true. For soon she would open her every own giraffe sanctuary. She would be to giraffes what Bridget Bardot was to cats. Their patron saint. Now what to wear to the opening. A mustard shift slit at the top and the bottom? Or a something python?
