Phoebe has described Poldark as a “romp”. There is, according to her, a hefty amount of “male torso”, “shagging of servants” and “horses riding along cliffs”. All things which Phoebe very much enjoys. The reason we are discussing Poldark is because Josh Whitehouse, is not only the face of Burberry’s Mr Burberry frag’s latest campaign, but also an upcoming star of Poldark. Phoebe thinks he’ll be very good at that. “He’s got the smouldering eyes and curly hair of a Poldark star,” apparently. No torso here though, rather he is clad in a rather nice Burberry tux, smelling like, “the anticipation of London at night,” which would also be the whiff of Mr Burberry. To which you may ask, what does the smell of anticipation of London smell like at night? Top notes of tarragon and spicy cinnamon, layered on patchouli and a woody base of amber and smokey vetiver. An ingredient list that’s making me strangely ravenous. Though we probably wouldn’t actually recommend eating it. Or drinking it, for that matter. Unless it has alcohol in it (does perfume?) then we’ll let you off if you’re desperate. Note: we do not actually recommend the consumption of perfume. Don’t sue us.
