A room full of talented sorts (and the altogether less talented Phoebe and I – sorry Phoebe) gathered last night in Burberry’s Regent Street store to celebrate the announcement of this year’s BAFTA Breakthrough Brits – twenty men and women from the worlds of film, games and television that represent the very best glittering young talents that the country has to offer. The awards were presided over by the already established actings talents of Suranne Jones, Vicky McClure, Joe Dempsie and Jenna Coleman, cue champagne-induced (hazy) “you’re-off-the-tele” fan girl moment from your representatives here at 10. We aren’t allowed out much.
The recipients will each receive, in partnership with Burberry, support from BAFTA over the next twelve months – and range from actors Jessie Buckley, Josh O’Connor, Molly Windsor, writers Charlie and Daisy Cooper, Frances Lee and Hope Dickson Leach to gaming writers and artists Anna Hollinrake, Olivia Wood and Daniel Fountain. The full list of recipients are below – remember their names – they’re going to be massive. HUGE.
