The eldest member of the Beckham brood is making big strides on those grown-up pins of his. Unlike Beckham senior, though, those strides have little (or, in this case – nothing) to do with football, just lots of photographs, some in focus, some not, but all providing an insight into how young Brooklyn (now a photographer) spends his time. Were you not curious? Sure, Mummy and Daddy and a surname beginning with B and ending in “eckham” may have helped elongate aforementioned strides – but you don’t shoot a Burberry campaign aged eighteen without some amount of photographic know-how.
Yesterday, though, was about the launch of his new book “what i see” (sort of does what it says on the tin), celebrated by the whole Beckham clan descending on London’s Christies for the opening of Brooklyn’s accompanying exhibition, which was put on in partnership with Polo Ralph Lauren. Thus, our young snapper was suitably dressed in a Polo Ralph Lauren varsity jacket and simple white tee, adopting his parents’ proclivity for chic chic chic.
what i see by Brooklyn Beckham is published on 29th June by Penguin Random House UK
The exhibition at Christie’s, 103 New Bond Street, will run until July 7th
