In news straight from Rome HQ this morning, tailoring powerhouse Brioni have announced that the debut collection by newly installed Creative Director, Justin O’Shea, will be shown in Paris during Haute Couture week on July 4th. And, in keeping with other new-fangled advances in the world of fashiondom, the collection, entitled ‘Paris One’, will be available very next day in private bespoke appointments, flagship stores and on brioni.com. For which we say: good. Our grabby little hands have never been ones to exercise patience. As the press release kindly informs, “the ‘Paris One’ collection will pay tribute to the Brand’s handmade prêt-à-couture heritage and mark a new emphasis on the Brioni lifestyle offering… this strategy is meant to anticipate the implementation of the Brand’s new creative vision under Justin O’Shea.” Brioni’s full Spring/Summer 2017 collection (the final collection designed by Brioni’s in-house team) will not be shown on the runway but presented to buyers in May and June. Ring the changes.
