This was Alessandro Dell Aqua’s first season at the house and finally the brand seems to have appointed a designer who has actually considered who the brand’s customer is and more importantly could be. There was an elegance and minimalism that was grounded not in the austerity of modernism but in the luxury of it. Wonderful fabrics, simple cuts, elegant options. This once quite old established brand has been given a well needed breath of fresh air and I can’t wait to see what he does for next season!
