Receiving some post-couture fashion news this afternoon, in the form of the much-reported rumour that Bouchra Jarrar is set to leave the house of Lanvin – a role she has only been in for eighteen months (and two collections) after succeeding Alber Elbaz as creative director back in March 2016.
If reports from our little birdies prove correct, the exit was prompted by “creative differences” between Jarra and chief exec Michéle Huiban, with the two said to be negotiating the terms of the split, which could be finalised as early as this week. Who’s going to get the kids? Who’s going to keep the plasma? Either way – we await to see whether the reports prove true but if so, we wish both Bouchra and Lanvin all the best in their future, if separate, endeavours.
