Continuing what seems to be becoming a bit of a trend of late, Bottega Veneta have announced that they will be combining their Men’s and Women’s collections into a single show. Makes sense, to be honest, being as the Bottega man and woman are like those vaguely sickening couples that are just perfect together, as demonstrated at the SS17 anniversary show where they trotted down the catwalk together. Not that there is, obviously, anything vaguely sickening about the clothing, apart from if you are using the term sickening in the RuPaul, “that dress is fucking sick’ning” sort of way. Which means it’s very very good. Anyway. We’re rambling. “This decision represents a natural evolution following the combined Spring / Summer 2017 fashion show,” say the notes. “The Bottega Veneta universe is built on both genders. As a consequence, showing both women and men together is an organic move that follows the evolution of Tomas Maier’s creative vision.” The first co-ed show will be shown in February during the womenswear shows in Milan.
