There’s something very clean and efficient about Boss isn’t there? These are clothes to do things in, efficiently. These are clothes for efficient women of business. Streamlined and neat. Well, Frau Boss wouldn’t tolerate anything less. Anyway, this seems a little more laid back than usual. Frau Boss en vacances, or as Jason Wu himself apparently said backstage at yesterday’s presentation, “it’s a little less strict, but with all the neatness.” Think plunging necklines, bare arms, injections of some racy red and a zebra type print. To quote SNL’s Angela Merkel, Frau Boss wants to be wild too. She wants to take off her strictly tailored blazer and put on a strictly tailored yet racy dress. She wants to dance like she’s at an Elton John concert. And dressed in this who’s stopping her.
