Beyoncé Wears Balmain At Coachella

beyonce_mainWe have woken up feeling flawless. All hail Queen Bey. For what critics are calling her best performance in her 22 year career, Beyoncé let loose at Coachella, renamed Beychella for obvious reasons, with a 200+ dancer entourage all in full throttle formation. So, most importantly, what did she wear? Balmain and only Balmain. Bey in Balmain. It feels so right. Good choice, if we do say so ourselves. Beyoncé’s stylist, Marni Senafonte had contacted Olivier Rousteing after his Autumn/ Winter 2018 show to create five custom costumes for her 2 hour long performance. The brief was what seemed to be along the lines of military style meets Mad Max meets high shine costume. The highest of orders. And so Olivier in all his Balmain brilliance created the perfect lineup.

It began with a classic Queen bejewelled bodysuit, complete with cape and headpiece. It glistened, it glimmered as it should. Beaming. And then Beyoncé was officially in her element, holographic-like strobing fringed boots swished, denim mini shorts sat high and a silky beehive yellow hoodie, varsity style cooled it down. Fierce as f**k. And it crescendoed. Jay Z joined her to sing their greatest hits, as she changed into a mesh, coat-of-armed top. We must point out that during these outfit changes, her nail polish was changed too. Only Beyoncé. For the moment that made the internet lose their breath, Destiny’s Child were reunited, army-style embellished bodysuits. Salute. Bey finished her reign, saying, “Thank you for letting me be the first black woman to headline Coachella.” Boom. Beyoncé continues to run the world. Bow down bitches.
