This season Belstaff, and we’ll refer to the press notes here, has “turned its attention to great polar expeditions. Inspired by renowned female pioneers…drawn to Edith ‘Jackie’ Ronne’s great Antarctic expedition of 1947. An American journalist and historian, she was the first woman to be a working member of an Antarctic expedition”. So what does this mean for the clothes? A snazzy mix of polar and the Belstaff motorcycle signature. Think sleek, padded biker pants worn with embroidered and patchworked trousers or fur trimmed parkas that “nod to Inuit dress”.
