Oh, how I worship at the temple of glamour that is Balmain, praying for the day that they find a large oil well under my parent’s house and I can finally become a moneyed gentlewoman who douses herself solely in Mr Rousteing’s designs each morning. Not much luck on that one yet, but to tide us over another sermon in glamour from Olivier via his just-released Pre-Fall 2017 collection. This time, we are told he was looking at clothes to wear during the day. Balmain daywear. Which, granted, is very much evening attire for us normal folk, but the Balmain lady is a unbridled glamazon so this is strictly dressed down – a houndstooth jacket cinched with a leather belt, studded tie-dye denim jackets covered in studs, a sort of sexy play on the tweed suit. And some hot hot hot dresses too – long and draped or in peek-a-boo mesh. Sex on legs with a to-do list. J’adore!
