Balenciaga today took us back to the future. We entered the Tron inspired futuristic set with its hexagonal elevated glass floor where smoke trapped beneath the glass swirled to give the impression of being inside a space ship. The clothes too had a strong modernism and graphic element with a real focus on the fabrics and silhouettes which enforced this idea. Subtle detailing and beading with tiny embroidery that fluttered and moved gave a dimension to the pieces that felt original and inspiring!
