It appears no one does fierce summer wear quite like Asai. Since founding his namesake label in 2017, South London-born A Sai Ta has consistently delivered cult looks, most famously his signature Hot Wok tops.
After taking a break from the catwalk, the brand has now partnered with London’s most delightfully candid journalist and host of Chicken Shop Date, Amelia Dimoldenberg. Dressing up for Smirnoff’s new cocktail campaign, this is a collaboration that well and truly pops the cork on summer.
Matching Asai’s signature tie-dye with Smirnoff’s fruity new cocktails, Dimoldenberg shows us how to seize the summer season with style. “I loved wearing my custom dress by the super talented Asao as part of this shoot, this design was so fun, colourful and bold and felt like summer personified! It was so brilliant to work with him, and to see the bespoke design he created for me to wear for Smirnoff, which definitely helped to get me in the mood for the summertime.”
When creating the asymmetric tie-dye piece, A Sai Ta pledged his allegiance to all things hot and spicy. “It was so fun getting to design Amelia’s dress for Smirnoff’s summer campaign; the brand’s ‘life lived in full colour’ outlook is the perfect complement to my love for vibrant, kaleidoscopic fabrics, and Amelia has the style and sass to really pull it off. I put a fresh spin on my signature Hot Wok design for this collaboration, using the colours from Smirnoff’s new Mango & Passionfruit Twist Vodka to create a tropical look perfect for any summer occasion.” Sexy fits, sunkissed afternoons spent with friends, and a fruity beverage to boot? Sounds like the perfect summer cocktail.
