One exhibition, in six cities, with six different photographers – all at once. It seems Saint Laurent’s Anthony Vaccarello has achieved the impossible. As part of the Parisian house’s on-going self-discovery project, Self, the creative director has taken over London’s Observation Point for one weekend only.
Self 07 is brought to you through the lens of various artists who were all hand-picked by Vaccarello. Each work explores the muse of Saint Laurent through artistic commentary on the complexity of the individual in everyday society.
In an effort to unite global artistry, the exclusive works from Self 07 will be on display in New York, Paris, London, Shanghai, Seoul and Tokyo simultaneously. Colliding art and fashion into a plethora of creative marriages, expect to explore the works of Harry Gruyaert, Alex Webb, Takashi Homma, Daesung Lee, Birdhead and Olivia Arthur. The latter’s photography is the focal point of London’s exhibit, which sees Saint Laurent finery taken on a rural expedition.
If you happen to walk by the River of Thames this sunny weekend, pop into the Observation Point, and immerse yourself in the visionary world of Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent.
