While spending his days ‘rewriting the history of fashion illustration’ back in the 1970s, Antonio Lopez developed a mini side career as a photographer, snapping everyone who came by his studio with his Instamatic camera, then arranging these snaps in photo albums so they formed mini, quite often surreal narratives which can now all be seen in proper book form: Instamatics. Where else can you see a series of images of le grande Kaiser Karl eating lunch?
