Antonio Berardi: Resort 2020

Fashion week looks kind of cool and all… But when you’ve got seminal punk photographer Derek Ridgers shooting your collection instead of a traditional fashion week format, those cramped front rows and tiny bottles of Evian water look rather naff in comparison. Antonio Berardi has firmly avoided the hectic fashion week circuit for some seasons now – letting the clothes speak for themselves without the pyrotechnics. This time around, Berardi has enlisted Ridgers behind the lens to shoot a collection of playful silhouettes and sleek evening-wear. Inspired by angelic creatures and their multifaceted androgyny, 10+ cover star Finn Buchanan looks heavenly in an array of shirt dresses and gorgeously tailored suiting – all in soft-to-touch textures.

High-waisted matador trousers and classic black shirting is perforated with gold lining, topped off with classic gladiator sandals. Nipped-in blazers are fitted with a corsetry finish, cut into tulip printed chifon, whilst ruched organza shirting is worn beneath a slender navy dress – styled by our very own Editrix Sophia Neophitou. The star of the show however was a buttercup yellow silk animal devoré, printed with dainty florals which was used to make floor-length gowns and a fluted sack-back dress meets roman tunic – when can we place our orders?
