For some reason the SS16 Antonio Berardi is putting me in mind of some galaxy ruling alien queen. It’s not the clothes per se, more the feeling of them. Pale silvery satin, so light it could almost pass for white is spliced with an almost washed out primary coloured paisley, embroidered with thick stripes of silver sequins and wrapped around the body in to create something that could almost be described as a breast plate, loose chiffon trailing behind, creating an almost halo type illusion. The sheerness of the ribbed black knits adds a toughness to the light airy ness of the organzas.
