It’s been a strange year for fashion, to say the least. The dashing men we’re used to seeing at shows, press appointments and late-night fashion-week parties have been confined to their humble abodes. So, for the inaugural Inside 10, we stepped into the homes of some of the industry’s most adored gentlemen – on a quest to discover how they really live. Expect lavish art, fancy sofas and, of course, handsome looks pulled from the SS21 collections. Up next is esteemed Italian fashion writer, Angelo Flaccavento, who wears Homme Plissé Issey Miyake
What’s your most prized possession in your home?
“My books – there are never enough of them. It’s more than 30 years of obsessive and compulsive buying, reading, stacking. Definitely a treasure that keeps growing by the day.”
What dream item would make your home all that more special?
“Can I be vain? A walk-in closet would be a dream ‘item’. It would allow me to have my Miyake collection on full display, at a glance, right away, ready to be used every day. Oh, I’d also like to have some more shelves for the books, but there is no space left for them.”
What’s the key to keeping your humble abode a happy one?
“Taking life as easy as possible. I certainly try my best to, day after day. Also, I am quite homey, so I’m always happy when I am home. The red door – the backdrop here – helps.”
