The collection reminded Sophie and Will of Tim Burton’s 1988 film, Beetlejuice. Unfortunately I had not heard of the film, revealing another gaping hole in my cultural knowledge. Awkward. (Can I put it down to being a child of the 90s?) Anyway, I’ll have to take Sophie and Will’s word for it. Apparently is was the striped jackets that sparked the comparison. Personally the collection reminded me of French cool kids. The ones who skate and go out in Pigalle. But then what would I know, I haven’t heard of Beetlejuice.
