Altuzarra: Ready-to-wear AW17

Nice bushes on Altuzarra runway. We’ve always been a fan of some well trimmed topiary. Okay, so we know the notes for this referenced Macbeth. And that Altuzarra had been looking at pictures of Renaissance ladies when he put together his AW17 collection. And we see that, we do. The bodices, the velvet. But we also can’t help but get something of a Russian Tsarina from his latest lady. Which we are well aware was a different era entirely. But it was those studded headbands. And the abundance of studs in general. We’re getting… Faberge egg. Anastacia strolling about the Winter Palace. Either way – Renaissance or Russia – this was op-u-lence. Clothing fit for a princess – whatever the era. We’ll take twenty.
