On our birthday, we sit and greedily paw at our presents and demand that people bring us things like breakfast and lunch and dinner and drinks. Alexander Wang, on the other hand, who is celebrating the tenth birthday of his brand, is showing us up by giving back. In honour of the special event, he has designed a sweatshirt and t-shirt for Do Something, an organisation that helps encourage youth activism and social change amongst young people. But that’s not all. Just to make sure that everybody gets the message, he recruited a group of 38 close celebrity pals – Kate Moss, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Cara Delevigne and many more – to model the pieces in a Steven Klein-shot campaign. Well, that certainly makes a more appealing proposition than having to give your details to a man brandishing a clipboard on the street. “We felt like, let’s do a campaign and bring together people that we really respect or who have been a big part of our brand, who helped support us, who’ve given us support, been supporting us all these years,” Wang said.
