The Alexander McQueen Tread Slick Goes On A Globe-Trotting Excursion

A great pair of shoes are meant to be lived in. Sure, your fanciest heels are divine and those brogues you only whip out for special occasions sure do have heads turning. Yet no matter how many pairs of shoes you happen to own, we tend to always go back to the kicks we know we can bash around a bit and they’ll still look terrific. Alexander McQueen are experts in crafting the sort of trainers you can count on, with the new Tread Slick being a prime example. First debuted within the brand’s SS20 pre-collection, this excellent new addition to the McQueen family of statement trainers is available for both men and women. Equipped with a swollen rubber sole and a canvas upper, the Tread Slick is a lighter, more agile silhouette than its predecessor the Tread Boot – available in black, white, muted pink and a muddy green.

With the world still in lockdown, you won’t be able to explore in your very own Tread Slicks just yet. However, McQueen has teamed up with photographers across the globe to photograph the trainer in their current environment. From Adama Jalloh, Ethan James Green and Lea Colombo here in London, to Wing Shya in Hong Kong and Luis Alberto Rodriguez in Berlin – each photographer puts their own spin on taking the Tread Slick on its first adventures. We can’t wait to take our own pair for a spin.
