As we said with the release of Alexander McQueen’s Story Shoulder bag, “every bag should have a story”, whether that be the tattered tote that gets accidentally left on the bus or the cross-body that’s been by your side at every music festival. It comes at no surprise, then, at how excited we are at the release of the newest bag in the McQueen family. Introducing – drum roll please – The Story bag’s sister creation: The Tall Story.
Designed to fit perfectly into the brand’s AW20 collection, the bag shares the same colour palettes and themes we saw on the catwalk back in February. Tones of red and black dominate the various colourways. The options include all black, black with a red lining, red with a black lining, or if you really can’t decide, why not go for a version with the collection’s geometric print? The range of colours is not the only thing to send your senses into a frenzy, heat moulded quilting and stamped croc are both available to satisfy your texture cravings.
Next, as with all bags these days, statement hardware is a must. One of two of the bag’s handles takes inspiration from jewellery. Or you can fold the statement metallic handle down to use the leather straps to carry the bag on your shoulder.
The Tall Story is designed to fit everything you could need for the day and more. It even has space for your laptop – as long as it doesn’t get lost into your messy handbag void – so you can store your tech safely on your commute from your bed to your WFH office. In case you needed any more convincing as to why you should add this McQueen bag to your collection, the bag is finished with a handy zip pocket to store everything from your phone to your Oyster card. We could go on for hours how practical this bag is.
