Every season Alexander Lewis bases his collection on a specific woman, so why should this collection be any different? And who is Alexander’s lady of choice? His muse du jour? An exotic Brazilian dancer who’s name temporarily escapes Garth, our font of Alexander Lewis knowledge. Exotic in the sense that she’s from Brazil, which is an exotic locale. Anyway, you have to admit that this does feel rather samba infused. The deeply pigmented shades of tan, green and cream, the skirts split up the front, the graphic, square cut flaps of organza, the patina prints and knitted chequerboard. Let’s just call this fashions for heating up any dance floor you may find yourself on. It sizzles.
