As you may know, adidas Originals have teamed up with their old friend and long-term consultant Gary Aspden on a collection dubbed ‘SPEZIAL’. “When I got into wearing tracksuits as a youth, they were an aspirational item,” Aspden told us. “I looked at tracksuits as things that you imagined that wealthy Frenchmen on the Riviera were wearing on their yachts, even though we were cheeky, working-class kids from the North West.” The collection is British and though technically sportswear, too nice that you would ever want to play any sport in it – heaven forbid you get a grass stain.
