Aaron Esh: Ready-To-Wear AW26

Aaron Esh has been booked and busy for the past few months. In October, he was appointed the chief creative officer of AllSaints, and this month, the London-based designer teamed up with stylist Katy England on a footwear capsule with Zara that made its debut in the AW26 offering. That collection, unveiled digitally during London Fashion Week as it drew to a close just yesterday, was revealed via a lookbook lensed on the gritty streets of East London – Esh’s stomping grounds and the home base of his eponymous brand.

Shot in stairwells, hallways and out on the pavement, the collection leaned into the “reality of everyday life”, building on the slick, city-ready silhouettes of SS26. This season, that sense of refinement came through in full force. Proportions felt sharper and more deliberate: ribbed knitwear sat close to the body under leather bombers and military-leaning cargo coats, while slender trousers were paired with neat collared jackets.

There was a confidence in the restraint – a grey marl peacoat, a bulbous overcoat, a suede trench – all wearable without feeling basic. Dresses, too, were understated but considered, from an asymmetric black style draped softly across the body to a fluid satin frock. The Zara collaboration slotted in seamlessly, with slouchy leather boots tied at the ankle and set on a minimal wedge heel. Real clothes, sharpened – not reinvented.
