I’m slightly obsessed with cinnamon at the moment. Just came about before Halloween when Pumpkin Spice season kicked into full gear, where every coffee shop in town offered an over priced, calorific, festive foamy feast. My cinnamon cravings have now moved on to solid buns, my favourite of which are at Gails and Morny Bakehouse in East London.

My ushanka! I bought this faux-fur accessory at a the Pimlico carboot sale a while back for £3 – a steal, thank you very much – and its honestly the greatest thing ever. I’m always cold – yes, even though I’m from Canada – so I feel at home when I wear it. Say goodbye to chilly ears and hello to a happy me!

I am obsessed with clothes that are not my own. November teases a satisfying laziness out of me. I shave less and effort dissipates in the face of cold mornings and dark days. I chuck on what I find lying around my room or someone else’s room, yet my magpie tendencies always steer me towards the pile of clothes that are absolutely not my own.
Baggy skate jeans, graphic T-shirts plucked from a pile of chair clothes and shirts that are missing buttons but make me feel all WOMAN when I throw them on lazily in the morning. It’s un-fancy dress, it’s intimate, and it’s pheromone central. Bonus points if you steal something because then, depending on how you feel, you get to wonderfully piss off your date, or… give them a tangible reason to see you again. Stay toxic xox.

The 10 office is stationed very close to Carnaby Street which can be a blessing and a curse – a curse for my wallet, a blessing for the part of my brain that convinces me to treat myself at any possible moment. A recent lunch-break purchase was the Benefit Playtint Pink-Lemonade Lip and Cheek Stain. I’m not much of a make-up *gorly* but I still like looking somewhat put together when I leave the house and this lil dabber is the perfect tool to make my cheeks look rosy with minimal effort. Chef’s kiss.

Why am I obsessed with Elena Garrigolas at Saatchi Yates? It’s like Salvador Dali, Freud, and an internet meme walked into a bar. That’s Elena’s art. Garrigolas is like the rebellious art child of a Catholic upbringing. She’s taken the whole ‘suppress your feelings’ thing and turned it into a wild, surreal spectacle. The kind of stuff that makes you question your own sanity while appreciating the genius behind the madness.
Growing up in a religious family and attending a strict Catholic school, she was taught to hide her body. But instead of sulking about it, she decided to create a visual carnival of absurdity. Her paintings are like a therapy session on canvas, where the therapist is Salvador Dali, and the prescription is a heavy dose of bizarre self-portraits. Her influence – Francisco Goya’s intensity meets internet meme culture. Her art is a wild ride through dreamscapes, personal experiences, and the strange corners of the internet. Elena even describes humour as her “defence mechanism.” Who needs therapy when you can turn your trauma into a punchline on canvas?
My obsession her is fuelled by the fact she’s not just an artist – she’s a surrealist sorcerer and the patron saint of turning pain into punchlines. And honestly, in a generation that’s always online, who wouldn’t appreciate the beauty of weird online memes incorporated into high art?

I don’t have any big obsessions this month but I enjoyed film Anna from 2019. It’s a mix of fashion and spy cinematography – really exciting – and the storyline is well thought through, keeping an intriguing, unexpected ending. I won’t spoil it though, just watch it! Hehe.

My guilty obsession at the moment is the new Robbie Williams documentary on Netflix. I never thought I’d be saying that but here we are… I’m not quite sure what about this documentary drew me in, but there is something magnetic about that man, Robbie Williams. I watched all four episodes (four hours in total) on Sunday night, and I have decided I have a man-crush on him. Safe to say I’ve been playing ‘Angels’ on a loop since finishing the doc’. If you want to be pleasantly surprised, and you want to watch something light-hearted on a cold November night, I highly recommend this.

Tis’ The Season Of Turtlenecks! Not only do they keep you warm in the winter but they also provide a beautiful base for your necklaces to rest on. The contrast between a silver choker and black high-neck adds a certain eloquence to an outfit. It always remains my staple in the chillier months. More layering, more life! Enjoy your turtlenecks before it’s too hot to rock them.

My air fryer! I’m a seriously lazy cook so getting an air fryer has been a major game changer. I’ve been rinsing BBC Good Food for loads of recipes, the best thing I’ve perfected so far is a sticky pork belly. Move over Nigella 😉

I LOVEEE this bag from the new Chanel collection. I am obsessed with the colour and think the metallic lustre gives it such an ’80s vibe like a something you’d wear to a bumping roller disco on a Saturday night in the city. Paired with a cream knit jumper and wide leg jeans, its the perfect winter staple for my wardrobe.
