Get your computer screen and headset ready, because A.Avaati is taking you on a trip to fantasy land. The emerging Brooklyn-based label and creative studio will have the inner-gamer in you eager for a chance to play.
By pushing forward its love for fantasy and video game culture, the label has formed a community of gamers, fashion aficionados, and 3D artists – each merging their artsy and geeky sides into one fashion explosion.
Founders Alex de Ronde and Alex Caivano encapsulate their immersive brand by working with hand dye, print/pattern and 3D work, grasping inspiration from science, magic and the (un) natural elements, which are translated onto t-shirts, sweatshirts, denim and accessories.
The pair’s diverse fantasy-inspired collections come drenched in electric hues and enchanting graphics. “We are very inspired by the natural realm and often integrate these references into our collections,” they say. The brand’s latest launch, Water as Portal, explores the purifying qualities of URL waters, seen across accessories and ready-to-wear. “The collection is inspired by entering new dimensions – lost memories of the past in the sea, seeing the future in its reflection,” the designers add.
Fancy some more fantasy? The label has translated the collection onto mythical A.Avaati avatars and has even designed original trading cards so that you can play the collection with your friends in true gamer style.
