Loewe and On have reunited and it feels so good. The LightSpray Cloudmonster, the latest silhouette in the pair’s ongoing partnership that kicked off in 2022, is an ode to a shared passion for experimentation that pushes movement and craft to a new level. The sneaker displays On’s pioneering LightSpray™ technology, whereby a seamless filament upper is sprayed onto the shoe in one fell swoop. Taking a mere three minutes to complete, the process removes the need for traditional layering or reinforcement seen in other shoes on the market, making the limited-edition release light and flexible.
An all-white shoe, the LightSpray Cloudmonster is designed to be paired with a set of three socks made of the same filament, in fluorescent yellow, green and teal. More than an accessory, these socks are a vital extension of the dynamism at the heart of the shoe, shifting its appearance as you mix and match – a nod to Loewe’s playful spirit. And if you weren’t already sold on the trainer’s comfort, the laceless upper is combined with On’s Cloudmonster Hyper midsole which itself is softened using the Swiss brand’s Helion™ HF cushioning to maximise propulsion and energy return.
The new release was unveiled in a campaign directed by visual art two-piece Blackwall, alongside updated versions of two previous collaborative silhouettes – the Cloudsolo and Cloudtilt Hi – creating a solid footwear offering for the everyday. In the campaign, the trainers are presented as an exploration of movement and form, contrasting the expert production of the LightSpray Cloudmonster with production with Loewe’s eye for innovative materiality and bold design.
