Onitsuka Tiger: Ready-To-Wear AW26

With The Aesthetics of Ma, Onitsuka Tiger delivered a collection grounded in the space between categories. The Japanese concept of “Ma” – a meaningful pause or interval – translated into clothing that resisted easy definition, sitting somewhere between formal and casual, sport and tailoring.

Presented yesterday, the collection built its strength through unexpected combinations. A pleated dress was layered under an oversized herringbone hoodie; elsewhere, a military-style double-breasted coat was paired with trainers, undercutting its formality. Soft fleece, floral inserts and corduroy sat alongside sharper tailoring, creating silhouettes that felt shaped by real wear rather than strictly an occasion – all in pretty pastel hues.

Accessories reinforced that balance. The new Mexico 66 Square sneaker reworked a house classic with a flatter, more graphic profile, while slingback heels and compact crossbody bags added structure. The result reflected Onitsuka Tiger’s ongoing focus on versatility – clothes designed to move between moments, rather than belong to just one.
