Gucci is on the move. Quite literally, with the arrival of Gucci Shift – the house’s newest trainer, designed to carry you through the day with ease while keeping its fashion credentials firmly intact. First unveiled at the cruise 2026 show in Florence in May, Shift is lightweight, low to the ground and unmistakably Gucci thanks to the signature Web stripe running neatly along its side.
For women, the design blends GG mesh and soft suede, cut through with elastic inserts for that deconstructed, ultra-light feel. The sole nods to the elegance of a ballet flat – slim, refined, yet firmly in athletic territory. Details matter here: a glinting gold Interlocking G charm on the laces, the Web loop at the back and colourways in suede, technical fabrics and GG canvas neutrals.
Men’s styles lean into bold modernity. Think plain or washed leather, GG canvas and soles stamped with a maxi-logo – no mistaking them from the back of the queue at Dover Street Market. Web stripes appear on tongue and heel, with stitching that references the house’s heritage motif in a completely contemporary way.
The Gucci Shift Sneaker is light, versatile and quietly directional: a new chapter in Gucci’s ongoing dialogue between heritage and the rhythm of modern life.
