At D’heygere, if you’re after a simple pair of gold hoops, you’ve come to the wrong place. The French label has grown an impressive following thanks to its boundary-pushing jewellery and accessories, including DVD turned into earrings and belt buckles which double as match strikers.
Venturing into eyewear was a natural step for the brand, who’ve teamed up with Seoul-based eyewear specialists, Gentle Monster, on three unique frames. Raiding its jewellery box, D’heygere laces two styles of clear-lensed Gentle Monster sunglasses with actual earring studs which can be customised to the customer’s own liking. An additional pair of sunglasses come with rings built into its arms – glitzy, just how we like ‘em.
“The delicately designed products led this collaboration to open a new chapter of eyewear by attempting a unique method of combining frame with jewellery as a structure, not simply attaching it to the frame. It made us take the next step on typical jewellery eyewear,” said Stephanie D’heygere, the brand’s creative director.
