Kick back, relax, pour a cup of tea, pull up a cosy armchair and take some well-deserved time to secretly perv over some of our all-time favourite creative minds. Immerse yourself in their paintings, sculptures, ornaments, occasional potted plants and a stack of good books. We do love a bit of memorabilia and paraphernalia. Today we step inside the humble abode of Tobias Frericks, head of editorial content, ‘GQ Germany’.
What’s your most prized possession?
“I have a pair of wooden castanets that belonged to mother, who was a ballerina, when she was young. They’re very humble and I feel a connection to my mother when I have them around. They would be the first thing I’d grab if my house was on fire.”
What dream item would make your home all that more special?
“I always dreamt of having a wild, overgrown garden.”
What’s the key to keeping your humble abode a happy one?
“My dog, April – if she is happy, I am happy too.”
