Inside 10: Gianluca Longo Joins Ten Men At Home

Kick back, relax, pour a cup of tea, pull up a cosy armchair and take some well-deserved time to secretly perv over some of our all-time favourite creative minds. Immerse yourself in their paintings, sculptures, ornaments, occasional potted plants and a stack of good books. We do love a bit of memorabilia and paraphernalia. Today, we venture inside the home of Gianluca Longo, style director at ‘World of Interiors’.

What’s your most prized possession?

“When I decided to finally move to London, my sister left me a notebook where she had written out Ithaka, by the Greek poet Constantine Cavafy, to wish me luck for my new adventures abroad. It was a touching surprise for me. I still keep it safe in my study… it meant a lot to me then and still means a lot now.”

What dream item would make your home all that more special?

“The latest version of the wonderful and super practical Bimby [as in the kitchen robot] in my small kitchen. Although, my ultimate dream is to have a personal chef.”

What’s the key to keeping your humble abode a happy one?

“Fresh seasonal flowers, everywhere and all the time. My favourite are tulips for their shapes, peonies for their colours and freesia for their smell.”
