The Chanel 22 bag has the credentials to be an instant classic. As the latest addition to the house’s family of accessories, this supple leather number comes in three sizes and a range of hues (we’re living for the lilac), with gold metal accents and the logo stamped on the front. First unveiled as part of Chanel’s SS22 collection, which harked back to the supermodel era of the eighties and early nineties, the bag is making its way to glossies across the globe with an advertising campaign lensed by Inez and Vinoodh.
“We were given the opportunity to create three completely different stories with three completely different women and set out to create three stories that would show a lesser known side of each woman,” say the photography duo, capturing a trio of actors who represent the future of Hollywood: Lily-Rose Depp, Margaret Qualley and Whitney Peak. Over the coming weeks, Chanel will release a series of films shot in Los Angeles and Palm Springs, with each scripted like “veritable summaries” of the cast’s personalities. Before all that, though, take an exclusive look behind the scenes of the campaign’s making.
