From London-based conceptual marketplace, APOC Store, comes a brand new grant programme in a bid to nurture new-generation artists and designers from marginalised backgrounds and communities. With every offering, APOC Store is committed to breaking down financial and systemic barriers in the world of fashion and art.
Recipients of the grant will receive £1000 in support of the development and production of their work as well as the chance to sell their creations at apoc-store.com. Plus, the selected beneficiaries will be offered a six-month mentorship opportunity consisting of bi-weekly educational and workshop sessions with the APOC team and additional community creatives.
Short for Anthropocene, denoting the current geological epoch in which humans are the dominant influence on climate and environment, APOC Store was born from the ambition of striving to support emerging creatives and uplift marginalised voices. Two years on, it remains dedicated to paying its contributors a fairer commission and aiding them in growing sustainably all while devoting itself to sterling curation and progressive sourcing in response to a heightened urgency for change.
